Genetics
We will be watching review videos throughout the year. For each video, you will be summarizing and outlining what you see - both the big concepts and especially the information you need to review. We will be saving each of the review sheets and use them in the final weeks leading up to the AP test. Take this opportunity to create effective study material for yourself (oh, and also for a grade!). For each of the videos listed on the Genetics page, complete a Bozeman Video Review sheet. Attempt the last question on the review and explain how the topic relates to evolution, but if you are unsure don't worry - we will be covering evolution first thing next year!

The AP Test has purposely moved away from memorizing massive amounts of information to better understanding concepts and relationships. They will not ask you to list the cell activities that occur during anaphase. Instead, they will ask 'What are some possible outcomes of a mistake during the separation of chromosomes during mitosis?' So focus on recreating a flowing image of the entire cell cycle in your head - and explaining all of the important events and their contribution to the overall goal of mitosis. Our goal is to explain concepts and make connections, with a sprinkling of specific information.
